At Maple Ridge Lodge we know that eating well is not just necessary for optimum health, especially as we age, it can also be one of the most pleasurable parts of the day. We have chosen our name – Harvest – to epitomize our philosophy regarding each of those aspects of our dining program. We always go beyond typical assisted living fare and offer meals that feature fresh, seasonal, and unprocessed menu items that are scratch made by our own chefs. To that end, we have partnered with the best local sources of fresh and appealing fruits and vegetables that we will buy as they are freshly harvested.

We will put on our sweaters and visit Adams Apple Orchard and Farm Market for crisp juicy apples and freshly pressed cider in the fall, and our chef will use those items to make our fall meals special.

We are also blessed in our neck of the woods with wonderful local maple syrup and cheeses like the incomparable Blueberry Windsordale from the Vermont Farmstead Cheese Company.

Sam Mazza’s Harvest Market of Colchester will be brimming over with items like ripe juicy tomatoes, fresh strawberries, and of course locally grown sweet corn freshly picked and served that day. Pass the butter! Our low sodium soups are all home-made and seasonally inspired, and most of our tempting desserts will come from our own kitchens as well. You can’t beat freshly made!

In addition, we looked to the word Harvest to inspire the design of our beautiful dining room, where our residents will quite literally enjoy the fruits of the seasonal harvest three times a day to break bread, make new friends and chat about the latest news of the day. Our Harvest Dining Room is beautifully appointed and will be a friendly, comfortable place where you can select from several entrees each day served by smiling wait staff who will know your name and how you like your coffee! We also offer our Barley Bistro with a view of the herb garden, where you can grab a bowl of homemade soup for a quick lunch, and where beverages, pastry and fresh fruit are always available and always complimentary. Also enjoy our cozy Beechwood Pub, where a well-crafted sandwich can be had, and where happy hour happens!

Discover nutritious and local farm-to-table inspired food, friendly smiling people, and a beautiful place to enjoy the New England harvest.
